A friend’s father passed away recently, due to a myocardial infarction. None of the children could reach for the funeral, as they are all based in foreign countries.
A classmate was recovering well from Covid, and the last test was negative. His wife and daughter had already recovered and discharged, but were not allowed to see him. He passed away in the wee hours of the morning, as they prepared for his possible discharge from hospital.
The stories would have shocked us sometime ago, but the number of such incidents have increased, and happen all around us, in close vicinity.
